1. Updated Login Info for "Student Window"

Thanks to Qinway student Anna Bronstein's enthusiastic volunteering work, you can now set up your unique Username and Password to access the "Student Window" on Qinway's website.

Just go to http://www.qinway.org/register.asp and pick your own username and password. The generic login info that some of you currently use will expire by August 15.

2. Bigu around August 9 Full Moon - August 23 Earthstore Buddha's Holy Birthday

This month we again have two auspicious days, even though they aren't very close - August 9 (full moon) and August 23 (Earthstore Buddha's Holy Day).

You may access "Student Window" to order bigu supplies and receive remote support from Grandmaster Qinyin. As you know, regular bigu is a key to maintain and deepen your cleansing.

Who is Earthstore Buddha? Earthstore Buddha (left picture) is known for his great vow "until the hell is empty, I won't claim Buddhahood" (so technically he is still a Buddhisattva with equivalent understanding and power). Before Sakyamuni Buddha (the historic founder of Buddhism) went into nirvana, he entrusted Earthstore Buddha the task of saving sentient beings before the future Maitrya Buddha arrives.

Although many people chant Earthstore Buddha's name or Sutra to help uplift the spirits of their deceased family members, Earthstore Buddha actually helps sentient beings in all realms, including the human realm, animal realm, hungry ghost realm and hell realm.
