II. Tom's Healing Story: If I can do it, anyone can!

If you think your health challenges are unique, then hear Qinway student Tom's story. Tom came to Qinway Qigong as a last resort, and miracles happened as he persisted...

Before I took my first Qinway Qigong retreat, my health problems were very difficult. Qinway Qigong was kind of a last resort for me. Fortunately, for me, it was and still is one of the most important steps that I have taken to improve my health. Especially when nothing else really made much of a difference.

For most of my life, I have struggled with different health issues that had been gradually getting worse. Colds and flu, sinusitis, environmental allergies, food allergies, itchy skin all over my body, cold hands and feet, poor circulation, difficulty with digesting foods, extreme fatigue, joint pain and back pain. I may have forgotten something, but you get the idea. The forms of qigong that I studied prior to Qinway Qigong only helped me to maintain my health, but they didn't help me to get better. They talked about opening the energy channels in your body and even teach you meditations to do this. But the one thing they forgot is that until you detoxify your body, it's difficult to open your channels (depends on how severe your health problems are).

After reading about Qinway Qigong and bigu (energized fast) on their website, I realized that I needed to detoxify my body. The first thing I did was to schedule a remote healing session (3 days) with Master Qinyin. I drank the Yin-Yang Healing Tea in preparation. The week before the session I was very tired and my abdomen was aching. The session was very powerful. And my symptoms were greatly reduced. After the 3 days, I knew that I wanted to attend the 4 day retreat so I signed up. I had relief of my symptoms for a month before they slowly started to come back.

I attended my first Special Ability Rejuvenation Retreat in Oct. 2005. The weekend before the retreat, I started feeling bad. At first I thought I had the flu. I was doubting whether I should even go. But after talking with both John Chen and Dr. Ron, they convinced me that I was already beginning to detox because of the Qinway energy signals. So I made the trip. Surprisingly, once I arrived, the flu-like symptoms were gone. They were right. The retreat was difficult for me because I had a lot of symptoms such as an upset stomach, very cold, very tired, etc. Even though I felt all of these symptoms, I also felt a tremendous amount of energy. During the retreat, Master Qinyin told me that I was born weak and was too yin. And she gave me my bigu homework. Somehow I survived the retreat.

After returning home, I had more symptoms like sore throat, tired, etc. Fortunately, I had plenty of energized food from Qinway to support me. Finally after a week following the retreat, I was able to return to work. My energy was better, but I was not sure of myself or what I was doing. I received lots of encouragement from both Master Qinyin and John Chen via e-mails. My bigu and qigong practice were not perfect. I was frustrated because some of my health problems sometimes prevented me from doing all the exercises. And sometimes I had difficulty with the bigu because I felt "hungry". But I kept going because of all of the support from Qinway, my friends and family. I realized the most important thing is my intention and never giving up.

I repeated the retreat in February 2006. When I returned, Master Qinyin commented that my energy field was greatly improved. I felt more energy, but still had many symptoms. I started bigu again at the retreat and I am still on bigu. At one point early this summer I sent an e-mail to Master Qinyin asking why I wasn't seeing many physical results, even though there had been great improvements in my energy field. In so many words, she told me that the Qinway Qigong and bigu gave me the techniques and support to change my physical make up through all 5 layers (skin through marrow) and to have the patience to persist. It was difficult but I did persist.

And now I am seeing the benefits. My energy is greatly improved. I had itching in my skin nonstop for the past two year and had it for many years off and on before that. The itching is now almost completely gone in my body. This taught me the most important lesson to date. That is that even when you don't see the physical results from Qinway Qigong and bigu, as long as you keep going and have faith, eventually the positive changes that occur in your energy field will be manifested in your physical body.

I am here to tell you that if I can do it, then anyone can. Qinway Qigong is especially necessary for those of us that have exhausted all avenues of western medicine to get well and have not succeeded.

I wanted to let Grandmaster Qinyin know that I went to see my Chiropractor this week and he said that my spine has been gradually becoming more straight over the past six months. I have seen him for years and he never said this to me before. I told him that it was because of my qigong practice. This is another sign that Qinway Qigong is helping me to improve my health.
